Nikki Warren is a degree qualified Naturopath, Medical Herbalist, Nutritionist and Doula based in Peregian Springs on the Sunshine Coast. Nikki is registered with the Australian Register of Naturopaths and Herbalists (ARONAH), a member of the National Herbalists Association Australia (NHAA) and Doula Network Australia and has been in clinical practice since 2008. She uses an integrative approach to healthcare, incorporating scientific diagnostic testing methods with the use of natural therapies, lifestyle changes, exercise and stress management.
"After years of struggling with the symptoms of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and numerous visits to doctors and specialists, I turned to natural therapies. Within three weeks of starting a new herbal remedy I started seeing results. After continuing treatment for a few months the results had such an impact on me that it created a desire to change my career and in 2004 I began studying naturopathy and nutritional medicine."
In 2005 I gave birth to my daughter Taylah (pictured right) and this inspired me to specialise in the area of fertility and pregnancy. After completing my Diploma of Naturopathy I founded Natural Reproductive Care and in 2008 I completed a Certificate in Doula Education through Optimum Birth enabling me to assist a couple's progress from preconception, through the pregnancy and labour and postnatally. In May 2011, my daughter and I moved to Peregian Springs on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, I finished my health science degree at the end of 2013 and then we had our son Phoenix in January 2014 which reinforced my belief that proper preconception and prenatal care results in an easy and healthy conception, pregnancy and birth. We've never been happier; I love the lifestyle here and the beautiful weather and most of all I love the people".
Nikki believes in inspiring people to take a proactive approach to health care, maintaining wellness, rather than the management of ill health that may be preventable.
