Most people know about the numerous benefits of eating a diet high in omega-3 fatty acids.
In this study, women whose diets were high in omega-3 were 22% less likely to be diagnosed with endometriosis.
What's even more interesting is that women who ate the highest amount of trans fats had a 48% increased risk of endometriosis.
Trans fats are found in store-bought cakes, biscuits and popcorn and junk food such as burgers and fries.
If the label says "hydrogenated oil or partially hydrogenated oil" avoid it! Trans fats are the biggest culprit when it comes to high cholesterol levels and subsequent risk of heart disease.
